North Tulsa Development Council (NTDC)

The North Tulsa Development Council is a result of a four-month pilot leadership program created by Mayor Kathy Taylor in 2007. Following the inaugural academy, six leadership participants, as part of their class project, pledged to continue the leadership development program and The North Tulsa Development Council was born.

The class meets once a month for eight sessions and will cover topics such as economic development, education, city government, health and human services, business ethics and culture – all specifically geared to the growth of north Tulsa.

Additionally, everyone participates in a class project, giving them an opportunity for hands-on community improvement.

Tuition is $300 per person. Participants or their employer may pay the cost.  A limited number of scholarships are available to those who request financial assistance.

To be selected, you must show the following on your application:

  • Existing or potential organizational leadership ability
  • Grassroots involvement or community volunteerism
