This month’s speaker is Ken Yazel, Tulsa County Assessor.  Ken was first elected to this position in 2002 and was re-elected in 2006 and 2010.  As Assessor, he is responsible for placing a fair market value on property as of the tax date.  Ken will cover:

• How the assessment process works to establish a fair market value
• Exemptions and limitations - How you can file for homestead exemption, additional homestead exemption, veterans exemption and senior value freeze limitation
• Protesting the valuation on your property
• The 5% valuation cap and how it benefits homeowners 

The breakfast will be held at the Tulsa Country Club located at 701 N. Union Ave.  The breakfast  starts at 7:30 AM and will conclude by 9:00 AM.  

Reservations are required.  You may respond to this email or call the LT office at 918-477-7079 to make your reservation.  If you respond via email and you do not receive confirmation, please call the office.  The cost to attend the breakfast is $20 for dues payers and $25 for non-dues payers.  (Dues payers who pay at the $250 level or above may attend the monthly leadership meetings free of charge.)   Payments can be made online or at the door.  We accept cash, checks, and most major credit cards.
